The webinar was a Q & A style chat where Rich Henriksen, industry expert and Nokomis founder shared his insights on Payment Integrity. A summary follows:

The Nokomis Difference

1. No Floor Value for Medical Review

We review every single claim with the same process intensity, regardless of its value. Other PI vendors have a floor to the value which they look at. So sometimes that floor is, they don't look at anything beneath $4,000 from a record review perspective, or $5,000 or $7,000 or $25,000.

2. Customized Solutions

We realize that every client is different. So, we customize our service to fit your business and claims process; CMS, state legislation, rules, and policies, all are taken into account. We customize it specifically for you. So you don’t have to adhere to our process and our structure; we actually evolve and customize our product very heavily, so it fits within your business very succinctly.

3. High Realization Rate

Due to that extremely efficient rules engine and the highly-experienced team of coders that we have looking at the results of our service, we achieve a 99.53% realization rate on every saving we identify. It means, for every saving that we generate, we get a less than 2% appeal rate on those claims that we highlight and less than half a percent overturn rate. The average saving we're achieving is between 4 and 11% of the claims value that we analyze.

We turn around everything in one working day. So we take a claims file one day, and turn it around within the next working day. That minimizes the impact on your payment timeline.
